Come Get Help Foundation
CGHF is a subsidiary of HMYFP dedicated to carrying out our mission overseas
Building Hope and Opportunity for Sierra Leone's most marginalized groups to live a life beyond survival.
Decades of challenges in Sierra Leone—including a brutal civil war, health crises, natural disasters, and deep systemic inequalities—have left many women and youth trapped in a cycle of survival where they can only afford to focus on their most urgent daily needs.
CGHF aims to increase access to resources and services that will empower these women and youth to move beyond mere survival and towards a future full of opportunities.
Community Empowerment Center
Our current project, Room to Dream, focuses on building a center in Sierra Leone to provide both a literal and figurative space for dreaming—
It will provide literal rooms for youth without reliable housing, as well as rooms for community activities. It will also provide the figurative room for youth, women and community to dream, grow, and work towards their goals in a dedicated empowerment space built for culturally considerate community care.
CGHF Objectives
-
Provide shelter, resources and support to meet the basic needs of youth in need.
-
Establish a space for education support, vocational training, mental health programs and community development initiatives.
-
Offer information, guidance and leadership opportunities to empower local women.
